I'm Vijay Gaikwad — a product designer and UI/UX lead based in Pune, India, with 15+ years in complex enterprise SaaS. Remote-first and open to relocation.

For over fifteen years I've designed software where the stakes are real — enterprise SaaS, fintech and banking platforms, and the nonprofit and association technology used by hundreds of thousands of people to do their jobs. The common thread: taking something genuinely complex and making it feel obvious.
Since 2014 I've been Principal UX Lead at Momentive Software (formerly Community Brands), leading design on the GiveSmart suite — Events, Fundraise, and CRM — a platform serving 500K+ users. Earlier roles span web and front-end engineering at Fiserv (fintech/banking), Xpanxion, and Quagnitia Systems — which is where the second half of my craft comes from: I don't just design interfaces, I build them in production code.
I'm grounded in user-centered design — research and mental models come before pixels. Every project starts with the decision a user needs to make and the outcome the business needs, then flows backward from there. I pair that strategy with the rare ability to design and ship the front-end (React/TypeScript, HTML/CSS), and I use AI-augmented prototyping with validation guardrails to move from idea to validated experience fast — always anchored to real research.
I also care about how teams work. I've grown and mentored designers, defined career ladders and hiring rubrics, and built a critique culture that raises everyone's bar.
